Survey Trends in Comprehensive Home Care - MN Specific CD RECORDING
Product Description
REALITY CHECK -- The process for increased regulatory scrutiny and oversight of home care providers has arrived in Minnesota! Surveys of Home Care providers are now conducted on a frequency of at least once every three years. This is a far cry from survey frequency in previous years when a home care provider could go many years without a regulatory survey; and potentially establish many years of operationalizing “bad habits” that are out of compliance with regulatory requirements. Let’s face it, home care licenses have changed, and so has the regulatory survey process. Knowing and understanding the trends in deficiencies cited by the Minnesota Department of Health can go a long way toward focusing provider efforts and proactively preparing for the survey teams appearance on your doorstep.
The presenter will outline a pattern of deficiencies being cited in Comprehensive Home Care surveys by the MN Department of Health. She will explore strategies for maintaining compliance with regulations year-round and for strengthening provider preparedness and confidence related to survey activities.
Upon completion of this webinar, attendees should be able to:
1. Identify the Top 10 deficiencies cited by the Minnesota Department of Health during comprehensive home care surveys conducted in 2015.
2. Learn strategies for consistently maintaining compliance with Comprehensive Home Care regulations.
3. Learn strategies for survey preparation and risk management in order to remain steadfast in your proactive preparations for survey success.
